Our Story

Sampoorna Shiksha was founded in January 2020 by Lata Srinivasan and Pushpa Subramanian, two educators with a shared belief: the best of wealth is education.

Twin sisters from suburban Mumbai, Lata and Pushpa, spent decades in corporate careers while tutoring underprivileged children in their free time.

After quitting corporate life to follow their passion full-time, they worked with students at Pragati Wheel School and SIES Institute who passed and went on to pursue stable careers.

The impact they saw convinced them to build something bigger. Sampoorna Shiksha was founded on the principle of Wholistic Education, creating engaging learning environments and equipping children with future-ready skills for all-around development.

Their work is inspired by two mentors, Vaidhei Pagaria, a rank-holder Chartered Accountant and social changemaker, and Mr Venkatraman, the Pencilman of the UAE.

Registered as Gyaandaan Foundation, a Section 8 not-for-profit under the Companies Act 2013, Sampoorna Shiksha brings low-cost, scalable education solutions to disadvantaged classrooms across India.

Today, Sampoorna Shiksha works across 16 states, reaching over 25,000 students, 3,000 teachers, 200 schools and community centres and 5,300 volunteers driving change on the ground.

To uplift children from weaker sections of society through innovative, low-cost, scalable education models and teacher empowerment aligned with NEP 2020.
