More Than a School Bag: Creating Moments of Learning & Joy in Jaipur

A school bag can carry books, but when it comes with encouragement, creativity and a little celebration, it can carry something more – the joy of learning.

As part of Sampoorna Shiksha’s Corporate Volunteering Program, we partnered with Baker Tilly One India to organise a School Bag Collection & Distribution initiative at Skoolam Trust’s Centre in Jaipur, bringing together employee volunteers and children for a day of learning, creativity and connection.

From Giving to Engaging

The initiative went beyond the distribution of school bags. 8 employee volunteers spent time with the children, engaging them through fun and interactive activities including a Connect-the-Dots activity and a Colour Competition. The children’s creativity and participation were celebrated with prizes, making the experience both meaningful and memorable.

Through the initiative, 60 beneficiaries received school bags – an essential resource to support their school journey. More importantly, the presence and participation of employee volunteers created an opportunity for children to feel encouraged, valued and connected.

When Employees Become Part of the Learning Journey

Employee volunteering creates an opportunity to move beyond donations and build meaningful human connections. Baker Tilly’s recent CSR efforts have similarly brought employees together to support children’s education through donations and creative engagement activities.

Sampoorna Shiksha sincerely thanks Baker Tilly One India for bringing their employees together for this initiative, and Skoolam Trust for supporting the activity at their Jaipur Centre. Together, we continue to create opportunities where corporate participation becomes a meaningful part of a child’s learning journey.

Because sometimes, the most meaningful impact is not just what we give, but the time, encouragement and joy we share.

Where Play Sparks Learning: Kitaab Khilona Reaches Uttarakhand

A puzzle to solve. A story to discover. A toy to explore. Sometimes, learning begins simply with the freedom to play.

Through Project Shikshalaya, Four government schools welcomed new Toy & Book Libraries, creating spaces where children can learn through play, exploration and discovery.

  • Govt. Primary School Talla Gahna
  • Govt. Primary School Mauna Malla
  • Govt. Primary School Satbunga
  • Govt. Primary School Pangrari

The libraries bring together storybooks, educational toys, puzzles, flashcards and activity-based learning resources, giving children opportunities to explore, experiment and learn beyond traditional textbooks. Each resource is designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, communication and problem-solving, making learning more engaging and joyful.

Equipping Teachers to Make Learning Come Alive

The real impact of a Toy-Book Library begins when children get to use it. To ensure that every resource serves a learning purpose, Sampoorna Shiksha conducted an Online Training session for the teachers responsible for the libraries, introducing them to ways of making learning more interactive, joyful and meaningful.

The session introduced teachers to ways of integrating the resources into everyday learning across different age groups and subjects. From developing early language and numeracy skills to encouraging problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking, the training focused on helping teachers turn books, toys and games into meaningful learning experiences. The training also covered the importance of regular and purposeful use, library management, responsible usage and observing children’s participation and engagement – helping ensure that the libraries remain active learning spaces rather than simply collections of resources.

From Curiosity to Confidence

With four new Kitaab Khilona libraries, 150 beneficiaries now have access to spaces where learning can be explored through play, discovery and hands-on experiences.

At Sampoorna Shiksha, we believe that joyful learning can make children more curious, engaged and confident. Because when a child is given the freedom to explore, every book can become a story, every toy can become a lesson, and every moment can become an opportunity to learn.

Celebrating Purpose, People & Progress: Two Recognitions for Sampoorna Shiksha

At Sampoorna Shiksha, every milestone is a reflection of collective effort – and this moment is no different. We are proud to share that our journey has recently been recognized with two prestigious honours, celebrating the impact of our work in education and community development.

We were honoured to receive the Impact EntrepreNaari Award by Aspire For Her at the HumSafal 2025-26 Cohort Graduation Ceremony. This recognition celebrates not just one organisation, but the power of purpose-driven partnerships that are creating meaningful, lasting change in the education ecosystem.

Adding to this proud moment, we were also awarded the Vocational Excellence Award by Rotary Club of Satellite City, Navi Mumbai. This honour reflects the dedication, consistency, and passion of our team and the strong belief of the community that stands with us.

These recognitions reaffirm what we have always believed – that every child deserves access to joyful, equitable, and holistic education. From transforming classrooms and empowering teachers to building stronger learning environments, every step of this journey has been made possible through the unwavering support of our partners, donors, CSR leaders, schools, communities, educators, and volunteers.

A heartfelt thank you to Prakash Rajan and all the members of the Rotary Club for their encouragement, and to Aspire For Her for recognizing our efforts.

Most importantly, these awards belong to the children – whose dreams, confidence, and futures we are working to shape every single day. This is not just recognition. It is a reminder that when purpose meets collaboration, real impact happens.

Colors of Change: Classroom Painting Initiative by Sampoorna Shiksha

On 16th May, the walls of Raigad Zilla Parishad School came alive with colors, creativity, and hope as Sampoorna Shiksha, in collaboration with Dronagiri Foundation, organized a heartwarming Classroom Painting Drive under Sampoorna Shiksha’s Project Rangshaala.  to create a more joyful and inspiring learning environment for children.

What started as a simple painting activity soon transformed into a celebration of education, teamwork, and community spirit. With paint-covered hands and smiling faces, 30 passionate volunteers came together with one shared mission – to turn ordinary classroom walls into spaces that inspire young minds every single day.

The theme for the drive  – Education & Jungle  – beautifully combined learning with the beauty of nature. The classroom walls were transformed into vibrant spaces filled with colorful forests, animals, trees, alphabets, and educational artwork designed to make learning more joyful and engaging for children.

Every brushstroke added life, creativity, and meaning to the classrooms. More than just paintings, the walls became sources of inspiration – encouraging students to dream bigger, stay curious, and experience learning in a fun and interactive way.

A special thanks to our volunteer artist, Shalaka Mane, whose guidance and creativity played a key role in bringing this vision to life.

The Classroom Painting Drive at Raigad Zilla Parishad School stands as a beautiful reminder that when communities come together with creativity and purpose, they can paint brighter futures for generations to come.
