A puzzle to solve. A story to discover. A toy to explore. Sometimes, learning begins simply with the freedom to play.
Through Project Shikshalaya, Four government schools welcomed new Toy & Book Libraries, creating spaces where children can learn through play, exploration and discovery.
- Govt. Primary School Talla Gahna
- Govt. Primary School Mauna Malla
- Govt. Primary School Satbunga
- Govt. Primary School Pangrari
The libraries bring together storybooks, educational toys, puzzles, flashcards and activity-based learning resources, giving children opportunities to explore, experiment and learn beyond traditional textbooks. Each resource is designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, communication and problem-solving, making learning more engaging and joyful.
Equipping Teachers to Make Learning Come Alive
The real impact of a Toy-Book Library begins when children get to use it. To ensure that every resource serves a learning purpose, Sampoorna Shiksha conducted an Online Training session for the teachers responsible for the libraries, introducing them to ways of making learning more interactive, joyful and meaningful.
The session introduced teachers to ways of integrating the resources into everyday learning across different age groups and subjects. From developing early language and numeracy skills to encouraging problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking, the training focused on helping teachers turn books, toys and games into meaningful learning experiences. The training also covered the importance of regular and purposeful use, library management, responsible usage and observing children’s participation and engagement – helping ensure that the libraries remain active learning spaces rather than simply collections of resources.
From Curiosity to Confidence
With four new Kitaab Khilona libraries, 150 beneficiaries now have access to spaces where learning can be explored through play, discovery and hands-on experiences.
At Sampoorna Shiksha, we believe that joyful learning can make children more curious, engaged and confident. Because when a child is given the freedom to explore, every book can become a story, every toy can become a lesson, and every moment can become an opportunity to learn.
