New Beginnings, Brighter Possibilities: Our Back to School Drive

A new academic year is a time for fresh beginnings, new learning and new possibilities. Through Project Shikshalaya, Sampoorna Shiksha organised a Back to School Distribution Drive across schools and community centres in Navi Mumbai, supporting children with essential resources to begin the year with greater confidence and preparedness.

The initiative reached children across Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary sections, providing resources based on their learning and everyday needs. Across BKP School, Ulwe, Sanjeevan School, Seawoods, Pt. Motilal Nehru School, Nerul, and Darshan Darbar Community Centre, Nerul, the drive impacted 350 beneficiaries.

The distribution provided Writing Kits, Notebooks, Water Bottles and Soft Toys, thoughtfully catering to the learning and everyday needs of children across Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary sections.

Supporting Children Through the Monsoon

As the academic year began alongside the monsoon season, Sampoorna Shiksha further extended the initiative in collaboration with ConnectFor. Together, we reached an additional 260 beneficiaries across partner schools and community spaces with raincoats helping children stay prepared for both school and the changing weather.

More Than Just School Supplies

For many children, these may seem like simple everyday resources, but they can make a meaningful difference to their learning experience. A book, a notebook, a writing kit or even a raincoat can help remove small barriers and allow children to participate in school with greater comfort and confidence.

At Sampoorna Shiksha, we believe that meaningful education begins with creating the right environment for children to learn, explore and thrive. Through Project Shikshalaya, we continue to work towards making learning more accessible, joyful and inclusive.

More Than a School Bag: Creating Moments of Learning & Joy in Jaipur

A school bag can carry books, but when it comes with encouragement, creativity and a little celebration, it can carry something more – the joy of learning.

As part of Sampoorna Shiksha’s Corporate Volunteering Program, we partnered with Baker Tilly One India to organise a School Bag Collection & Distribution initiative at Skoolam Trust’s Centre in Jaipur, bringing together employee volunteers and children for a day of learning, creativity and connection.

From Giving to Engaging

The initiative went beyond the distribution of school bags. 8 employee volunteers spent time with the children, engaging them through fun and interactive activities including a Connect-the-Dots activity and a Colour Competition. The children’s creativity and participation were celebrated with prizes, making the experience both meaningful and memorable.

Through the initiative, 60 beneficiaries received school bags – an essential resource to support their school journey. More importantly, the presence and participation of employee volunteers created an opportunity for children to feel encouraged, valued and connected.

When Employees Become Part of the Learning Journey

Employee volunteering creates an opportunity to move beyond donations and build meaningful human connections. Baker Tilly’s recent CSR efforts have similarly brought employees together to support children’s education through donations and creative engagement activities.

Sampoorna Shiksha sincerely thanks Baker Tilly One India for bringing their employees together for this initiative, and Skoolam Trust for supporting the activity at their Jaipur Centre. Together, we continue to create opportunities where corporate participation becomes a meaningful part of a child’s learning journey.

Bringing Smiles Through Learning: Book Distribution Drive in Siwan, Bihar

At Sampoorna Shiksha, we believe that access to basic educational resources can transform a child’s learning journey. With the start of a new academic year, we took a small but meaningful step towards supporting young learners at the KSSD Public Charitable & Welfare Trust Community Centre in Siwan, Bihar.

As part of this initiative, we distributed essential school supplies to 37 students from Nursery, LKG, UKG, and Grade 1. The support included notebooks, textbooks, and other necessary stationery, ensuring that each child begins their academic year with confidence and enthusiasm.

For many of these children, access to basic learning materials can be a challenge. Something as simple as a notebook or pencil can make a significant difference in their ability to participate in class and engage with their studies. This distribution drive was aimed at removing that barrier and creating an enabling environment for joyful learning.

The excitement on the children’s faces as they received their school kits was truly heartwarming. It was not just about distributing supplies – it was about encouraging dreams, nurturing curiosity, and reinforcing the importance of education at an early stage.

We are grateful to the team at KSSD Public Charitable & Welfare Trust for their continued efforts at the grassroots level and for collaborating with us to make this initiative impactful.

Daan Utsav 2025: A Week of Joy, Learning, and Giving

From stories to smiles, this Daan Utsav, the Sampoorna Shiksha celebrated the Joy of Giving Week (October 2–8, 2025) through meaningful acts of reflection, learning, and kindness, proving that every small act of giving can create ripples of joy across communities.

Day 1 (October 2): Kahani Utsav – Conquering the Ravana Within

We began the week with a reflective storytelling session led by our volunteer Shivani Deo, who guided children and youth through the story “Conquering the Inner Ravana.” This Dussehra-inspired session turned storytelling into self-discovery, helping participants reflect on the anger, fear, and self-doubt we all must overcome.

Day 2 (October 3): Joy of Giving at MGM Dental College

Invited by Sewa Connect, we shared Sampoorna Shiksha’s mission of joyful learning and student leadership with young dental students at MGM Dental College, Kamothe. The session inspired them to use their empathy and skills to create change beyond clinics, proving that giving is contagious and begins with a single spark.

Day 3 (October 4): Learning Without Borders

Giving knows no boundaries, and neither does learning! Through our English on Call program, student volunteers from Dubai taught spoken English to learners in Pune, proving that giving can cross oceans, one call at a time.

Day 4 (October 5): New Beginnings with MGFF

In collaboration with MGFF, we launched Spoken English and Soft Skills Classes for 20 youth from underserved communities. Each session focused on building communication, confidence, and career readiness; turning learning into empowerment.

Day 5 (October 6): Joy of Toys at B.K.P. High School

Smiles grew brighter at B.K.P. High School, Ulwe, where 50+ nursery students received toys and Best of Luck kits as part of our Project Kitab Khilona. A heartfelt thanks to our generous donors, Ar. Nikunj Agarwal and Ar. Mansi Agarwal, whose kindness turned this day into a celebration of joy and play.

Day 6 (October 7): Kala Utsav – Where Colours Meet Kindness

Art met empathy on Day 6! Beneficiaries from across India joined a colourful Kala Utsav session guided by our volunteer Mrs Aruna Joshi, where they learned to draw a butterfly, discovering creativity, connection, and the joy of giving through art.

Day 7 (October 8): Soft Toy Collection Drive Across Mumbai

We concluded Daan Utsav with a city-wide Soft Toy Collection Drive across schools in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Boxes filled with toys and love will soon reach children in need, spreading happiness far beyond classrooms and reminding us that compassion shared is joy multiplied.

During Daan Utsav, we received generous contributions from schools and organisations, including Goldcrest International School, DY Patil International School, Sadhu Vaswani School, and 63 Moons Technologies Ltd. Their support helped us collect soft toys, stationery, clothes, footwear, bags, books, and rations ready to bring smiles to children and families in need.

Soon, every toy, book, and essential will create countless smiles and happy hearts
